52-2 with strange serial number?
Hi All, New to the forum and enjoying the information available.
My question to the members is, I recently acquired a Mod 52-2 with the serial number being TVA4***.
I can't locate any detailed information regarding this prefix and number.
Any input would be appreciated.

Not strange at all. S&W went to the 3-letter prefix SN for autoloaders in 1984, starting at TAA****. Your TVA prefix places the gun as 1991 production. The Model 52 was discontinued in 1993.
