Default 422 mod

I've always liked the additional milling on the muzzle Smith did on the 622VR.

I've played around a bit making cuts on the muzzles on different guns. I have what started as an old used and abused 6" gun that I restored and tried my hand at making some muzzle mods. The look was close to what I wanted, but my methods didn't produce the quality of cuts I wanted. I actually made the cuts with a router, not bad for using the wrong tool, but hard to make accurate, clean cuts.

I finally got my mill back together and all set up, did a few practice runs on some parts gun frames where they had been cut in half. Did just the narrowing cuts on the 422 4.5" "Crisply Critter" build I did.

And now finally re-cut the 422 6" muzzle. I'm very pleased with the results now, just need to smooth, blast, and Cerakote.

I wonder how much weight difference it made on the total weight of that 622 after the nice work was finished on it? To me it looks great and should shoot somewhat cooler as well I would suspect.

Nice work Summ. Narrowing up that 4.5 is really unique. That one needs to have a series of photos in a picture thread. Hall of fame entry right there.
Congrats
