The extractor from my Victory has left the range!
I just fired my new S&W Victory 22 for the first time and it didn't fully eject the CCI Standard Velocity case. So, I cleared the empty and fired one more round which didn't extract. As I cleared the gun I saw a very good reason for failure to extract. The extractor is gone for parts unknown(pun intended). I have yet to find the departed extractor but did find the poor little coil spring that tensioned the extractor. It was trapped between the bolt and breech with an unnecessary kink. Oh well....
I followed the manual instructions and did a simple disassembly and cleaning, reassembled and fired exactly two rounds. I definitely saw the extractor in place during this procedure. I suspect a pin was left out during factory assembly and the extractor pulled out with the fired case. I can't figure out why I can't find the darn thing since the brass didn't even leave the slide. Any ideas?
In any event, I'll have to send it back to the factory.

S&W Customer Service
I called the 800 number today and they sent the FedEx mailing label w/o any hesitation. The instruction book incudes an extension number which seems to be for Victorys and maybe other auto pistols. The woman was very helpful and specifically told me to not use the factory box unless I didn't want it back. Basically send gun only. She told me I was the first call on a Victory.
FYI: The FedEx label is second day.

The extractor on the Victory isn't held in by a pin. It's pretty much like the Ruger Mk II, except S&W made it a little easier to get out for cleaning. Your extractor was probably either not stamped out correctly, or not fully inserted during assembly.

S&WIowegan -
I had the same problem a few years ago with my S&W M&P15-22 (AR15 style rifle):
The .22 round apparently did not go completely into battery but the firing pin still hit the primer. My son was firing it and from what he could see there was no feel that this was happening - UNTIL the round went off as an Out-Of-Battery discharge, which blew a hole in the side of the round's casing and a speck of brass put a minor cut on my son's right hand.
We pulled out the damaged round and inspected the bore for obstruction, found none and went about loading it up to shoot again. The first round fired well but the second round tried to go where the non-extracted first round's case was still residing and caused a jam!
When i inspected the rifle, I noticed that it no longer had the extractor, plunger, nor spring! - Those parts were now part of the landscape and we could not find them.
From there I went about just what you are doing now and had to send the whole rifle back to S&W just to get another extractor, plunger, and spring installed! (I could have done it myself in about 10 minutes), but they won't send you nor SELL you the parts, so that was my only option. Thankfully, it didn't cost me anything under the warranty including shipping both ways. (But it took the firearm away from me for about 4 weeks.)

What's with this new S&W Victory. Extractors flying here, springs etc. flying there. Now I hear that the barrel take down screw is taking a walk. Hmm I'll seriously have to thing twice before plunking down the cash for one of these puppies.

Iowegan, sorry to hear about your issue with the new Victory. I will be anxious for your review when you get the repaired pistol back.

So far we have only heard of 2 seperate issue's with this model. Being a new gun to the market place I am sure S@W is rushing to get them out to the sellers all over the world. Yes some problems will happen but at least we are not hearing of doz's of problems with this model. Neither of my LGS have them in stock as yet but I suspect they will sell well when they do arrive here.I think there is some nice advantages in owning one of these myself altho I may not buy one for a while yet.

I've got 600 rounds through mine. I believe I have the barrel tightening solve; no issue my last two trips.
Still getting jamming; last two times it has been the first two rounds and then the gun cycles fine. If my ammo is over 1200 ft/sec at the muzzle I have no problem. So I think I have the jamming issue solved as well.
But thanks for the heads up on the extractor. I'll look for that.
Love the Victory.

My Victory is still..
in the shop. I Fedexed the gun on 2/5/16 and got an email from S&W on Wednesday 2/10. Little more than a week since they got it. Maybe I should buy a backup at the gun show this weekend. Just kidding...I think.

My gun returned via FedEx yesterday, March 1, so it was gone less than four weeks. I can see it has another extractor but I haven't shot it yet....too darn cold.
Good service turnaround time.

AWOL extractor
had about 200 rounds though my new victory when the extractor took leave. Shipped to factory 2/13, is supposed to arrive 4/18. 2&1/2 months! They must be selling more SW22s. Does an after market extractor solve the problem?

Mine had the same jam with Aguila standard velocity ammo. It runs OK with CCI and Federal 711b standard velocity as well as CCI Mini Mags.
Try leaving the mags full for a week, that may do the trick.

Finally received my Victory and today was my first chance to go shoot it. I managed to get exactly 4 rounds down range before the extractor and spring departed again. Back to S&W again...... anyone else have the extractor problem???
