I venture to say that you have something special on your hands. Possibly a special order

What all came with this gun in the box as that may lead to why its printed on there. To many of us our 41's are very special to us because of the quality built into them.

I've contacted S&W and hoping they can shed light on the Special Order mystery for my pistol. It seems reasonable with the special order number they should be able to research their records and let us know!

Good luck BTW.

As far as I'm concerned, all 41s are special. One of the finest made target pistols available today.

The Spec Order # is a Julian Data code ( for when shipped?) with the first digit being the year ( 4 could be 1984, 1994, 2004 etc) and the next 3 being the day. 4055 would be the 55 day of 1994 (the UAE Ser No prefix tells us 1994)

My model 41 is 20 years old. You do have a "special" gun.

My m41 was built in 1958 and Very Special to me in how it still functions perfectly after all these years of usage I wish my cars lasted as well as this product has for me and the previous owners before me as well. I have owned at least 300 cars and trucks since then but only one M41.

Can you see any differences between your M41 and 'regular' version of the same gun? Different grips, markings, etc?

My ammo budget is not as high as my vehicle budget has been.At times I have owned up to 5 cars or trucks at once. Bought and sold a lot of them over the years. Always made some extra money on the side with them by doing this. I probably spend about $150.00 a month on ammo and usually buy, sell or trade a gun or two every month as well. Over the years some of the vehicles have been bought just for parts, engines transmissions or to replace a blown rear-end as well. I used to race a lot when I was younger but am currently down to just one race P/U and 2 Cars which are Caddi's. I like the Sevilles a lot. Nice ride and go like stink with the NorthStar engines in them.
