Another "MUTT" Gun (6592) LGS Rescue
Today I was able to rescue from a LGS another "MUTT" (as some on this forum call them) S&W 3rd gen. This is a RSR transitional piece model 6592. Basically it's a 2nd gen 659 frame with a 3rd gen 5906 slide (I believe). The serial number falls within the documented range of RSR3111-3359 with only 249 produced.
Having scored two "MUTT" guns (6690 & 6592) this week, I am feeling fortunate. They will go well with my other RSR's 4591 & 6590.

A lot of neat S&W handguns are out there awaiting a good home.
One must take the time to look. Hit an LGS wherever you may be. I've found some great guns far from home and I just have 'em shipped to my very own LGS should such prove necessary.
Then, there are the online buys.
But one does have to look. Indeed, I recently found a 4690 and bought it for half of what I was willing to pay. Pretty decent deal, I'd say.
Some of my fellow Smith & Wesson buddies can't believe my "good luck." Luck, whether good or bad, has nothing to do with it. I work my rear off to find these things.
Good Catch, Dparker!
Later.
