Default 22lr Victory

I'm looking for a accurate target gun something fun to shoot and inexpensive to shoot. I have plenty of 9's and 45's so I'm thinking a 22lr. How does the Victory compare to the Rugers as far as accuracy, I know the take down is easier?

My Victory is very accurate, I like the trigger and sights. It is not as accurate as my Mod 41, but only cost 1/4 of the price of the Mod 41. I feel the Victor is a very good value at this time.

I have the new Victory as well as a Ruger MK III target and a 22/45. I would say that the Victory is every bit as accurate as my Rugers and (as you said) is a lot easier to breakdown and clean.

I've let two friends shoot it and each now has their own Victory if that tells you anything

I bought a Victory, let my friend shoot it and he bought the other one from our local dealer, he only had two!

He just called me to let me know that Shooting Times has an article on them comparing them to other pistols currently in production. The Victory came out on top! I have not read the article yet but will soon, you should be able to find a copy and read it for yourself.

They are like the M41 here in Canada in that they are also very hard to find as well. From what I have seen of them which is one live in a gunstore I believe they are a superior build to the ruger pistols myself.

I also read the Shooting Times article comparing the Victory, MK III and Buckmark. Funny that my MK II outshoots all three of the ST examples. No matter, I'm impressed with the Victory, especially the barrel change feature. I just wish it was more attractive.

I just bought the Victory and the Ruger 22/45 Lite in the past month.
A Ruger Mark II is more accurate than both of them. But I would recommend the Victory over the Ruger Lite, it's a great price and shoots great out of the box. The Victory trigger has an overtravel adjusting screw, and you won't be tempted to drop alot in custom parts into it like I did with the Lite...mainly because there aren't any available yet! Except the Volquartsen gorgeous barrels for it, but if you want that much accuracy buy a Ruger Mark II.
Get the Victory.

I currently own a M41 and Buckmark, and just recently, a new Victory. I love them all. Yes, the M41 is more accurate than the other two, but that is to be expected given the price point.
After benchrest testing them, I think the Victory is slightly more accurate than the Buckmark, but that is ammo dependant.

I definitely like the trigger, the takedown, and the overall feel/balance of the Victory over the Buckmark, and will probably move the Buckmark on to a new home....
