Well after a very long 7 weeks and 3 phone calls later my pc1911 170343 has returned home from S&W. I must say they did a wonderful with the repairs. I was having some accuracy issues due to some bad machining on the slide. They took care of that issue test fired 8 rounds into a target and sent to me also. After seeing the test target I had to run to the range and try for myself. All I can say is wow the best 8 shot group I had was 8 shots into 1 3/8 group at 10 yards.

Congrats on your "new" 1911. Obviously a job well done by S&W.

I remember the thread. Did they replace the slide?

No they were able to finish the machining on the old slide. They got everything lined up and it's like shooting a completely different pistol. I couldn't be happier with it.
