Default sw22 takedown…not the screw, but the "barrel nut"

Picked up an sw22 victory a few weeks ago after not shooting for quite a few decades (and no pistol during that time either). First off, a lot of fun….only a few hundred rounds so far, no issues with CCI mini-mags.
In any case, initial cleaning prior to use….the takedown screw was a little difficult to remove….there was certainly a "break free" moment, but it was fine afterwards. And, yes, it does loosen up a bit on the range, but I've read the "fixes" on forum so it's just an inconvenience at this point.
My problem is the insert in the barrel (I think some folks refer to it as a "barrel nut") into which the takedown screw inserts. Last time I cleaned the pistol, I had to hand-tighten that part (maybe about 1/8 of a turn) before I reinstalled the takedown screw. I know I've seen just a few other posts that mentioned this side of the takedown issue, but as far as I could tell most of the response addressed the screw itself (I may be wrong here). In any case, anyone who has had this issue……. what is the fix? I don't mind applying a thread locker to this piece if that's the best recourse, though I'll go with other fixes (higher torque, O-ring, etc.) on the screw itself.
Thanks folks!

I'll have to look at that next time I take the Victory to the range. So far it is not a problem as I never knew it existed.

I watched a video yesterday with a Victory 22 being taken down and then locktited. Clearly, the nut was loose while he was doing the operation. the guy never mentioned it.

I don't take my 22 Victory down often. Once I got it set up and running, I leave it together. I always check the barrel screw and bore and wipe crud out of the action.

That is all I do to mine. All the cleaning it needs can be done assembled and using a bore snake. I tend not to over clean that shoot only paper. I got to much nit picken cleaning in the Navy on my M16 and 1911. Darn Marine Armorer could find a microscopic piece of carbon every time he expected the gun before you turned them in. You could count on cleaning them at least 3 times. I got so I hated to shoot them.

Just a quick follow-up. I've field-stripped and cleaned my 22 Victory twice since I posted about the barrel nut (yes, I do field-strip and clean after each trip to the range, but that's just me :-) I hand-tighten the barrel nut (it's never really that loose, just a fraction of a turn is all that's needed) and re-assemble. I tighten up on the takedown screw a bit more than what I used to (which was my version of a "snug up"). No problems with the screw coming loose at the range (100-150 rounds, checking the barrel after every 3 or 4 mags) and no problems field-stripping afterwards. Bottom line is I guess at least for now….at least for safety and operation…. the barrel nut thing appears to be a non-issue.

I used loctite on the barrel nut....when cleaning it is not necessary to separate the barrel from the slide, I clean it in one piece.
