Just had a dawson precision front fiber optic 5906, i like the new sight picture. Nice and bright up front! Now I have to test it out at the range.

I'm presuming that's a sight for a M&P, since the dovetail is the same. Is it the same height as the original?

Nice, I'm running a green fiber optic on one of my 1911's and it really stands out for my eyes.

That is actually made specifically for the 5906. Dawson Precision S&W 5906 Fiber Optic Front Sights - Dawson Precision, Inc.
The height i purchased was .125x.125. It seems to be the same height, but i still have to test it out at the range.
I agree with the green fiber being brighter, the kit came with an extra red and green insert. I will eventually switch it over to green.

I was referring to the front sight. I surprised that Dawson still has gen 3 sights.

Dawson will make about whatever you want if you dont mind the wait. I recently had some really tall patridge sights made for a couple 5906 p/c type guns.
Unless the front sight dovetail is different on p/c 5906s, 6906s. The dovetail for an M&P front sight is much shallower than for a 5906. It may be the same width and degree of bevel but the 2 sights are not interchangeable.

Odd, because my M&P has a 5906 front sight on it as I write this.

How did you get a picatinny on your 5906! I've been trying to find something for month and yours looks great.
