I have a S&W Model 39 with serial number 841XX. I would like to know the manufacturing date if possible please--

"Serial number range beginning 1954 starts at 1001 and continues to 115000 in 1970. Applies to Models 39, 41, 44, 46, and 52." From the SCSW

Thanks but I am hoping to narrow it down to a specific year.

Probably 1967-1968, but you won't know for sure without a factory letter.
