Adjustable sights are usually the choice of buyers seeking a handgun for primarily target use while those wanting a carry gun opt for a non-adjustable rear sight that offers a lower and smoother profile. I have three S&W 1911s, a .45ACP and a .38 Super for target use and a .45ACP for carry, and their sights differ accordingly.
Hmm - no photo on hand of all three together but here's two plus one.
As far as the slide serrations go, I like most styles (all of mine are different) and don't mind the fishscale ones as they at least are different without being distasteful. Yours is a very attractive and classic-looking gun. I prefer your trigger over the ones with three holes and plan to eventually replace mine with the style in your gun as well as add a magwell to the E-Series Sc.
I must also say that my three S&W 1911s absolutely blow away the Kimbers they replaced in terms of appearance, function and customer service.
I like most 1911s but the S&Ws are my favorites!
