Unmarked Blue (black) 6904 mags?
I now have 4 unmarked 12 round 6904/6944 magazines that came with 3 different blued 69x4 series pistols including 2 in original box and brown paper SW packing with a 1988 vintage unfired 6904 pistol. Others are 1992/93 vintage pistols.
All other SW Original mags I have ever seen have been marked in some form - SW on plastic base, SW or just S on side, SW logo on side.
So my question is whether my 4 69x4 magazines are SW factory or aftermarket. These mags all have curved foot and no markings except round count.

I would guess they are OEM but I believe that when S&W came up with the curved baseplate, they forgot to figure out where to mark them. I have a half dozen for my 469 that are all fantastic and not marked. However I will also add that they are all stainless/bright magazine bodies.
Are yours black or bright?

I have three black magazines for my 6906. Two of them have only two witness holes and no round numbers on them. The other has 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 marked on the right side. It has larger magazine catch holes than the other two and has one on each side.
There are no markings on any of them, and they all have the curved base plates.
All three have light green springs and metal magazine catch plates.
They look pretty much identical to the stainless magazines I have except the stainless ones have an "S" on them.
I have no reason to think they are anything but OEM magazines. I've never heard of aftermarket magazines for the 69xx, but that just means I've never heard of them.

All black, one has 2 holes on side with mag release notch and one hole opposite side. 2 of others have numbered holes to 12, have to fish for 4th to see.

The one on the right might be a 2nd Gen, but it should work.

In response to post #3, never seen an aftermarket 69 series magazine. The middle one in all the pics. Picked it up at the last Akron show, was in my 'secondary' mag suppliers case, he had it marked as a 'for 459'.

I had a Marlin 9mm Camp carbine (which I should have kept!) in the 90’s which came with an unmarked, blued magazine. It had a flat baseplate but would fit and feed just fine in my 469 which I also should have kept . Maybe S&W made them for Marlin, I dunno. And, although I have never owned one, one of the cheapie brands of pocket 9mm’s will also accept S&W mags.

Ramline made 6906 magazines but the spring was very different from factory magazines.

Is it just me, or does that look more like a 15 rounder than a 12 rounder in length? The packaging says "Extra Capacity" but I can't read the rest.

It does look too long to be a 12 rounder.

Here is a better picture of one. I believe the Ramline spring arrangement did allow for a 15 round capacity.

Ramline have a clock spring type spring. It unrolls as the follower goes down.
