Default SW1911TA vs SW1911 108282

Is there a big difference between the two? I know the 108282 is not an E series, but is there a big drop off in quality, build, functionality? Worth trading for this or an E series?

Thanks!

There have been reports that the 108282 is hand fitted. Mine looks to be. I don't know about the E series.

Thanks, Maddog,

Here comes a dumb question...is there a tried and true test to see if it has been handfitted? My slide to frame fit is as tight as a drum, but not sure if that is the litmus test.

Thanks!
