Default Haven't been around much, but I'm back with my 3rd Gen Autos

I haven't been around much for the past two or three of years. Along with stuff that just happens along life's way, I had a cataract which was developing in my right eye, my shootn eye. I got so I just wasn't having fun shooting as the cataract developed. Well, earlier this year I decided to get me a new eye. So, in late June I had the bum lens removed and new one (intraocular lens) implanted. Wow, it's a new world. I've really gotten back into shooting, gun shows and buying pistols.

I recently added a Model 4586 to my stable, well it ain't in the stable yet due to California's waiting period, but it's getting there. It's a beauty (99%+) that I found on consignment at a local gun store. This will be my 19th S&W 3rd Gen Auto and my first DAO. I will post photos and range report after I pick it up and get out to the range.

This recent purchase got me all jazzed for my S&W 3rd Gen big boys. So, this past Saturday I took out my 4566 and 4516-1. I first fired 40rds out of the 4566, but I didn't get a group that I thought was worth posting. However, after that warm up, I fired 60 more rounds out of the 4516-1. Below are a couple of targets I shot. By the way, rapid fire to me means around 2 or so rounds per second.

Welcome back! You, your fine range reports and photos were all missed!

Nice shooting with that fine 45! I am glad everything worked out well for you and I am looking forward to your posts. Best regards 18DAI
