A Good Friend just acquired a "Very" Nice 5 1/2" HB Model 41...With a (Non) A-Prefix Serial No.!! He's curious as to it's Approx. Ship Date...It's Serial No. is (71302)!!

Any info you could provide him will be greatly appreciated...Thanks In Advance!!

This gun dates to around 1970 by the serial No's given.

Actually that serial number puts it roughly between Nov 1964 & March 1965, but only a letter would tell you for sure.

I believe Ken is correct with his dating. My M41, #760xx, is from December 1965 so it make sense that your friends pistol is about a year older.
