Default S&W Model 908 9MM semi-auto

I am interested in learning if this pistol is considered a '3rd Generation' pistol? Also, if this pistol is very similar to the S&W Model 3913? I can find little about the Model 908 anywhere, but CAN find info on the 3913? I am in the process of trying to improve the trigger. I will attempt to polish the various parts within the frame to do so, and would appreciate finding out what springs (and where I could get them) I would need to reduce the rather heavy pull? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The 908 is very similar to the 3913/14 series. It is part of the "value line" That S&W introduced to make their pricing more competitive
You will find that most parts and accessories interchange between the two.

908 (blue'd or 2 tone), 908S (for stainless slide, alloy'd frame)...similar and very nice if you can find one and can't find a 3913...some pluses for owning the 908/908S too...

Good luck with your search...
