I took delivery on my new S&W22 Victory model a few days ago. I ordered one with a threaded barrel as I have several suppressors which I'd like to use with the Victory. One of the suppressors is the QD4 manufactured by Knight's Armament and this is the same suppressor which is used by the military on their M4 rifles. It is designed to suppress the 5.56mm round so I thought it would work using .22LR ammunition. The flash hider from the M4 has the same thread as the barrel on the Victory so the M4 flash hider just screwed on directly. The QD4 suppressor has the "quick detachable" feature which permits it to be on or off of the weapon in a few seconds.
The high sights on the Victory permit them to be used when the QD4 is attached. The sight picture is not blocked in any way by the suppressor. The suppressor is large because it is for 5.56mm ammo but its weight on the end of the barrel is not that distracting.
The QD4 suppressor which is designed for the 5.56mm ammo really suppresses the .22LR fired through it. The only sounds detected were the sounds of the bolt cycling and the "plop" of the bullet striking the dirt berm. I think I have a winning combination here.
