Found a nice 41-1 that came with a (in the same original box) a .22lr conversion kit.
Havent been able to find much information on these guys, or any for sale/sold anywhere either.
Does anyone know anything more about these? Seeing that the regular 41-1s are pretty rare, the only thing I can really figure out is that these sets can't be too common.

Wow, THAT'S interesting.

I have two .22 Short conversion kits (for converting standard model 41s to fire shorts), but I never considered a factory kit the other way around.

I suspect its a M41 with the conversion kit with it as well. What does the serial no.s say on it and model no. as well. From the look of it its a older model for sure. Is it marked 41-1 or just 41?

Not sure. I'll find out in a day or so when I get more information and the serial. The price was attractive enough to grab it even with lacking info.
According to the collector I bought it from, it came from the factory as seen in the picture. I guess it remains to be seen if that's true or not.

With the limited information here its hard to make comment. The gun and box indicated it is mid or late 60s. The box should be serial numbered to the gun and marked "22 short". Once you get the package post some detailed pictures for more information.

With the frame not being marked 41-1, Im guessing this isnt really a 41-1, but rather "just" a 41 with a 41-1 conversion kit.

I would agree, but we'll see what Aussie Collector says. Is the box end label still present or is it marked .22 short? Is there a serial# in grease pencil marked on the bottom of the box?
Was there some sort of underbarrel weight that was attached to the 5 1/2" bull barrel?

The stuff is still a few thousand miles away and the guy on the other side is not very tech savvy, so just getting him to reply to emails is hard enough.

There is a slim chance that this gun could be a 41-1.......
The 41-1 stamp is not definitive....More information needed....

Just received a reply from Mr Jinks, just over two weeks...

Looks like it's indeed a regular 41, shipped to Germany in Feb 1970.

Interestingly enough, it supposedly shipped with a 7 3/8 barrel in .22lr, so someone, somewhere, replaced the 7 3/8 .22lr top with a 7 3/8 .22short one and added a .22lr 5" top to the box. Likely to better fit with the olympic disciplines where .22 short could be used in rapid fire, but the 7 3/8 .22lr wasnt really allowed anywhere.

While that is interesting, it wouldn't slow me down one iota from buying if the price is acceptable. You just don't run across .22 short barrels very often.

Still a nice find with the 22short conversion barrel with it. Those are quite rare to find at any time even back then.
