I have a S&W 669 that I bought years ago when I had my FFL.
With the new laws (California) I am now a criminal due to the fact that my mags are 12rds. I'm looking for 10 rounders, which are really hard to find. Well not that hard, but totally overpriced. So I'm inquiring if anyone would like to part with a 10 round magazine. I know a 6906 will fit, but they are also scarce. So if you don't want one of my arms or legs, drop me a line. Thanks in advance.

What adds to the problem is that the 12rd magazines are discontinued and fairly scarce also.
There is a BIN listing on Ebay for 10rd mags. Yes, crazy expensive but they will dry up eventually and you should be able to recoup some of the cost selling your 12rd mags - or does CA make that difficult also?

Can't you modify the original mags to hold less rounds?

segdoh49...you may want to market this a little better. If you are interested in a trade, describe how many and what's their condition. There just may be someone who would like to trade but don't want to gamble on sight unseen. People are willing to help a brother out but they don't want a beater that'll have to be rebuilt next week. And vice versa on your end as well.

Might look for something similar to this... this one might even work... I dunno. I'm sure there are other people making mag blocks as well. Have you looked on Calguns? It's a major topic of conversation over there.

Worst comes to worst, you can whittle a small block of wood
to use as a mag block.
Main thing is that when someone tries to insert rounds in your
mags to check them, that ONLY 10 rounds fits.

Neither of those approaches would satisfy the law here in moonbat Massachusetts. We have no provisions in law or regs that would allow a post-ban hi-cap magazine to be blocked down to 10 rounds to make it legal. But California has always had a different set of criteria and it appears that the CA moonbat pols are still trying to figure out what will be legal and won't be legal. Such an exercise in futility. Like criminals and terrorists are going to worry about a silly magazine law.
