I recently acquired a CS9D which is double action only (see more information
here). I really like the pistol but its trigger pull is pretty heavy. It has a real DAO system, not the half-cock system as seen on the 3953/5946/etc. As much as I like my Glocks and Kahr K9, I am finding myself drawn to guns with external hammers for concealed carry lately, mostly my HK P30SK LEM V1. I think this CS9D would excel for me but I wouldn't mind getting that trigger pull to be more manageable.
I'm wondering if a Autopistol 3rd Generation Action Package ($160) from S&W will be worth the trouble. They did a Combat Revolver Package on my 2-5/8" 686 and its trigger (both DA and SA) is phenomenal. Should I expect a similar result with the DAO trigger on this CS9D? The work on the 686 was well worth the money to me and it will be on this CS9d too if I can expect similar results.
If I get some good feedback on experiences I might send my 3906 in too.
