Default Model 39 DOB Help

Could someone help me narrow down the date of manufacture (or shipping) of a Model 39? The serial # is 829XX. By extrapolating from other serial numbers, I'm guessing it's Oct-Nov 1967?

Thanks!

Hmmmm, I may be further off than I thought. The dates I gleaned off the 'Net were:
Serial # 836XX was made in Dec-67
Serial # 841XX was made in Dec-67
Serial # 851XX was made in Feb-68

I guess I assumed some folks had access to the production records...

Thanks for your reply, PJO - I appreciate it.

I don't believe anyone knows production dates, including Roy Jinks. All that is known is a ship date and since S&W did not ship in serial number sequence there can be wide disparities.

Yeah, Kevin - I guess I'm figuring that out. Thanks for responding.
