M645 Pricing
Hello All, This is my first time in this part of the Forum, I hang out ion the revolver side. I don't collect Smith Auto's, unless they speak to me. The only one I have is a M622VR. Now, my LGS always lets me know when he has a Smith, and he got in a M645. The piece is in 85-90% range, but with the box, papers, tools. I don't know what that means to you guys, but in the revolver world, on older S&W's, it can be a deal breaker. So, I am looking for your wisdom as to what I should offer. Many Thanks

Stainless can really look rough on these if the prior owner was careless with it. At 85% I'd say 400-450, 90% I would pay no more that 500.
My 2 cents

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't know if it matters, but the Product Code is 103712. The Bible says these were made from 1985-88. Does this mean there weren't a whole lot of them made? Thanks

Box, papers, tools will bring a 645 in the 85%-90% condition to about $600-$700 +/-.

Got a mint 645 a year ago no box for $400. He was asking $500, but I told him I would only pay $400. I told him to wait a while, but if there were no other offers, my $400 offer would stand. 2 weeks later he called me back & told me my offer was the highest he received. So I got it for $400. GARY

Again, Thanks for all the replies. I guess the thing to do is offer $500 and see where it goes. Dave, mine is also the 4.5". No box or papers, but I couldn't pass it up. When I first got it, I put up a post, but no one answered it, so I am guessing they are rare. Thanks
