Depends on which version of the model it is, its condition, and what it comes with. That price could be high, or it could be a steal. Just like anything else, it pay to know what you are looking at before you decide whether it's worth it or not.

My local store has one for $1,000.

I need to know, how MUCH better is one vs say a ...422? Big price difference, and I can shoot pretty much dead on with the 422.

Not calling it out, but I hear about them a lot and see the prices higher than what I usually pay for in a .22. I need to justify the difference if and when I buy one.

I'll keep it simple. I believe the slide assemble has 9 parts not counting drift pins. Great pistols, I lucked into 2 great deals 20+ years apart and own 2 for less than $1K. Quality costs $$$. On of mine has 20K rounds through it,

The 41's can usually outshoot the majority of us on here. They are a very well built target gun that will hold its value for many years to come.

I had 2 41's at different times, reallyy great guns for competition or part of a collection. I sold mine when I was able to make a big profit.

For competition I decided to go the Ruger Mark/Volquartson direction.

I do miss my 41's from time to time.

In sweden we call them expensive if the seller wants more than 300 usd
In sweden most of the shooters choose uniqe and consider the mod 41 as "bad".
I have 2 of them and i just love them. I usually end up top 5 with some occational 1-3 place. Always with comment - what! That model is old - how the hell can you shoot so good with it.
My reply is that the gun is a champ

The new ones are $1,369.00 + tax and the old ones (IMO) are better quality.

Default Model 41

Outstanding pistols at less than 1/2 the $ of the likes of Pardini, Benelli, Hammerli, etc.. Years ago I was an avid bulls-eye shooter. We had 8 members on our team, and did very well. In small bore, 7 of us shot Model 41's, and the 8th member shot a "Marvel tricked" Ruger MKI. At a weak moment, I traded mine off to scratch another itch. One of only 3 or 4 handguns over 50 years that I've always had sellers remorse
