Default Good deal alert 5906

Dealer has it listed as a truck gun, good condition, unknown if they have one or a dozen. $349.99 also have used magazines for $17.99. I'm tempted but just bought a $399 AR15

I recently bought one of those Gander Mt 5946's, so I am out. Plus I have a bid out for a 6906, but for 350 with 20 ship and a 20 dollar transfer fee from my FFl making it 390 isn't much of a deal to me. I did buy 5 of the mags for 99.94 though, as the next cheapest I could find was 26 and if you bought 3 or more they shipped free.

Wow now the mags are 19.99 and they still say on sale. 2 days back they were 17.99. Way to mislead your customers especially those who were going to come back and buy more.

They don't give you any detailed information on the guns condition. Or any close up pictures of the actual gun you'd be buying. Those are big red flags for me. And calling it a "truck gun" sounds like a synonym for "fixer upper" or "beater" or "handyman's dream".

Note that the NRA definitions of condition are:

New, Perfect, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair and Poor.

So, if they're referring to these NRA standards, the gun they are selling is closer to the bottom than the top. "Good" equates to "60-80% condition" in the Blue Book of Gun Values. If they're NOT referring to these standards and just making things up as they go along, that would be a red flag in and of itself.

For a little over $100 more, you can get a new gun and I would recommend that, unless your heart is set on this one. I have bought many used guns myself, and been very happy with every one of them. However, I don't buy used guns based on Bubba's personal declaration that "Hey, this is a mighty fine gun!"

Buyer beware!

Good deal take two. These pistols look better and are $375 with 2 magazines. I'd say a screaming buy. If I didn't just buy one I'd order one.

Slip trigger finger behind trigger before using a 3rd gen or wheel gun as a sap. Prevents a discharge from occurring if hand to hand continues.
