Default SW22 range trip

Beautiful day for the range so grabbed the SW22 go-bag and off we went. I had just put on the #61 "o" ring and was anxious to try that out. My last five trips with no additives to the takedown screw had resulted in no loosening of the barrel so we will see what happens to the barrel the next range trip. Today it stayed tight with 100 rounds down range.

The first fifty rounds were TAC 22 and I shot one mag into each circle from 7 yards.

Then I turned the target over and drew two 7" dia circles. 30 rounds of Aguila Super 40 grain solid copper clad bullets at 7 yards in the top circle and 20 rounds in the bottom circle from 10 yards.

I really like this pistol. Nearing 2,000 rounds through it now. No FTE's or FTF's. Those Aguila's are pretty nice.

Nice. I'm about 1000 rounds through my Victory. I added the Halo and a red dot. I'm getting new wood grips as soon as Volquartsen make them for lefties and I bought the Tandemkross trigger about 2 months ago, but I don't feel like tackling the project. I heard it can be quite the task even with the Tandemkross video. I'm taking it to the range tomorrow. I haven't shot it in over two months.

I hadn't had mine out since mid Dec. I'm a lefty as well so will be interested in hearing how those grips work out. This was close to the best session I have had with the Victory. Last week I went shooting in a pasture with a Model 34-1 and just plinked cans and logs on the ground. I sort of got away from "hitting the bulls eye". I think that helped me today as I felt pretty relaxed and thought I could "see" the target circles better. At 7 yards if I put on my reading glasses the sight is clear and the circles are a little out of focus so I just concentrate on keeping the front sight centered. If I use my normal bifocals the sight is blurred but the target is clear. Same principle just backwards. At 10 yards I stick with the bifocals.

I still thinking I am pulling the barrel down and left but getting better at using my right hand to push back.

No. Smith and Wesson sells it. I like it because it keeps everything in one place. It holds my five mags, allen wrench and will hold a small red eye if I ever get one.

You have a very nice set up on yours.

Took the Victory back to the range today. 100 rounds downrange with the help of a red dot. Shot at 10 and 15 yards; 50 rounds at each distance. Had a blast.

Quick question for Victory owners-dsc_0028-jpg

Hi, new to forum, I didn't see any introduction thread. Anyways, I notice your comp, and noticed it was same diameter as your barrel. Did you buy it like that or turned it down on lathe, if not what comp is it? Thanks happyg

The upper left circle was a mag of Thunderbolts. No FTEs, FTFs and the barrel stayed tight.

I do need to work on the smiley face. I have the nose down; the mouth is giving me trouble.

I finally got to shoot my SW22 with a Silencerco silencer attached to it. It was a long wait but I'm enjoying the reduction in noise.

I wasn't shooting at paper. I had a few pepsi cans with nfl logos on them.
