Default Screwball .45acp 3rd gen mag?

Says 12 rds on it, but only really holds 11,
for a double-stack .45acp, not sure which one.

Wondering if it was a cut-down 15-rd?
Possibly to conform to a mag limit in some state?

Sound familiar to anyone??

I have no recall of a double stack 3rd gen in .45. Are you sure that this is really a mag for an S&W?

What identifies it as a S&W factory magazine to you?

I'd not heard of any double stack 12rd .45's being produced by S&W before they designed the M&P 45.

The SW99 was also available in .45 but not in a 12 round magazine. The SW99 in .40 had 12 shot magazines.

Can you post pictures?

Aha, it's not an S&W mag...
Para-Ord seems to be the maker.

You're right. I was thinking 12rd .45's but didn't type it fully in my previous post. I corrected it. Thanks

FWIW, as I recall S&W received the SW9945 mags from Walther (made by Mec-Gar), while their M&P 45 mags are being made in the US (and their M&P 9/.40/.357 mags are being made in Europe).
