You're welcome!
The model 459 you have pictured came standard with a blued carbon steel slide and a blackened aluminum alloy frame.
Nickel plating was optional.
S&W did produce an all stainless steel (slide and frame) version of this pistol named the model 659.
On the 659, the hammer, trigger, slide stop, and safety were all silver colored.
The stainless steel frame also made it noticeably heavier.

I handled this particular gun and seems fairly tight and well made. Very light as mentioned due to the alloy frame.

That is a way more than fair price not only for a nice looking 2nd Gen... but it's been my experience that finding a FIXED SIGHT 459 seems to be a rarity. At $349?! You should buy that pistol!

For a 35 year old pistol with a -$349- price tag.

Buy price, hands down.
