Value on 1976 Smith 59 Nickel 95%
What is it worth? I have seen the gun and it is almost flawless. It has sat in a safe about its whole life. Any thoughts?

With original box and contents, I would guess $550-600, a little less for just the gun.

I was gonna say $400-450 for the bare gun. Then again, I had one such as you describe back in the day and wasn't real impressed with it.

A nearly flawless Md 59 is something to get excited about. However, you must remember that S&W made a ton of them and they are not considered rare. However, nice ones are getting harder and harder to find. If the one you are looking at has the box, docs and tools, I'd be very interested if priced in the $500 to $600 range but only because it is in nickel. If blued then somewhat less.
I overpaid for one about a year ago but it was unfired with box, docs etc. IIRC, I paid $700. However, I doubt I will ever find a similar package here locally (I don't buy online).

Keep in mind this is a 59, not a 39. I personally find the double stack less desireable. That said, I like the 59XX guns I have pretty well. Go figure.

$10,000
$500.00 for the gun $9500.00 for the mint Cadillac El Dorado.
If your getting a pimp gun you should get a matching car.
I love nickle guns and Caddy's.

Revoman a Real Good Caddie will cost more then $10,000. I have had 11 of them in a row now and still drive 2 of them. Ones a 1984 Seville Elegante and the other is a STS. They are a great comfortable car to own.

If you are going to get a pimp model 59 and a pimp Cadillac, the Caddy absolutely must be a Superfly custom.

Not specifically saying it "isn't worth $990" but it is fair to say that $990 is likely over market price.
