Default Smith & wesson model 6944 pistol

Can anyone tell me more about this gun, I've had it for a few years I know a few things about it like not having a built in safety, and it is a 90s model, and it was a duty pistol, and the trigger is horrible on it( makes me feel like I don't know how to shoot at all) taking it apart is a pain (to me atleast), I have been told it is a rare gun just looking to learn a little bit about what I have here.

At around 500 made your 6944 is pretty rare. If you don't like it put it up for sale in the classified section here and it will be gone before you know it.

It's unreal the amount of model numbers for 3rd gen pistols. Then the different variations of that model ( hooked trigger guard, adjustable sights....). Some nights I just get on gun broker and search for 3rd gens and will usually find one I've never seen. Being a more rare version and that you don't like the trigger at all, I'd sell it. Unless your want to start collecting 3rd gens and that would be a keeper.

I've been told around 512+ were produced. I have 2 of them. Will be placing both of mine up for sale as well. These do not come up for sale often.
