Default Model 469

I'm picking up a 469 today. I love these older beauties. When I first examined it, I gave no thought of it's having a spurred hammer, since my 459 has one. Since then, I noticed it cataloged as being bobbed. Is this someone's ad on?

I've never seen a 469 or 669 with a spur hammer. It could well have been changed by a previous owner.

Default Got it home

After bringing this little jewel home I disassembled it for cleaning. To my surprise, I found it to be in rarely ever fired condition. It was clean and hardly broken in.

The Illinois trooper must have kept it in his sock drawer. I can't wait to shoot it.

Regarding the spurred hammer..

All I can tell you is... I have installed one on my 469 and my 4567.

I like the spur, although it is certainly of taste.

For the record, mine were done YEARS ago.

I had a friend that got a 669 and didn't like the concealed hammer. He had a gunsmith friend of his install a hammer with spur on it. He liked it had it until he passed & now it's mine.
