Default New here and new to me 6904

Picked this up today at a gunshow. First Smith I've owned in a couple years. It is in very good shape, could not have been fired much and has little wear. Will be ccwing it after testing it at the range. Paid $425, maybe a tad too much but Im happy with it. First 3 of the serial number are THF, any clue on production year? How did I do?

Thumbs up

Looks like it is in really good shape. Standard Catalog of S&W says that an excellent example should bring aroun $500.00 so I think you did OK. What it all really comes down to is, If you are happy with it, then you paid just the right amount.

As far as putting a manufacture date on it, I could not find that Prefix in the Catalog but these Alpha prefixes are spotty to say the least. Someone might be able to nail it down for you.

You did just fine on the price. You can't buy a new gun like that today for anywhere near $400 so enjoy
