Congratulations, Excellent Score! That looks like the nicest 4513TSW w/o rail that I have seen.

I have one of those. I bought it new, and it sits by the bed, loaded of course. I carry a CS 45 I bought new, as well. I have carried it for over 20 years. I love the small alloy frame .45 pistols.

I've never seen even a pitcher of one before, Thanks for posting the pix! I've had a 4516-1 since back in the 90's - but I don't carry because it's boat-anchor heavy.

Excellent example of perhaps the nicest carry 45s made. By anyone. IMO of course.
Enjoy your fine 45! Regards 18DAI

Excellent find!
If you don't already know, the Spec order#, 9342, relates to Dec. 08, 1999, and is when it was made.

An amazing find! It's a pre-rail 4513TSW!
Makes that $500 4516-1 I found down in Little Rhody look kinda boring in comparison.
Nice to see that some premium pre-rail TSW models are still out there waiting to be found.

There's just something a little magical....a little undefinable....about the 4513TSW in this configuration, and seeing one in such sweet condition, with the box and all those mags, at such a great price is a joy indeed. Yep, I admit it -- I'm smitten with these, and you can bet that mine goes with me every day and will never leave my possession.
Great score.

Congratulations!
Congratulations! I picked one up last year from an estate sale - also in Like New condition.
Does anyone know where we we can acquire some additional magazines?
Will the 7 - round magazine from the next generation 4513 TSW work in our pistols?

Yes SevenSepents. The later 7-round 45 mags work fine in the early 4513TSW guns. They just stick out of the magwell a little.
There was a fellow here that was going to try to manufacture a sleeve so we could use the 7-rounders regularly..........but that project never took off. Evidently.
When I was working and carrying my original 6-round 4513TSW in plainclothes, I would carry a 7 or 8 round mag on my belt as a reload. Just be careful not to get too enthusiastic when putting the longer mags in the gun. You dont want to bend or break anything! Regards 18DAI

4513 Magazines (7 rd.)
Thank You 18DAI!
I believe I have found some New-In-Package S&W p/n 19074 7 Round Magazines on Gunbroker. I will order some today.

Nice score...... that's the gun I traded away in 94/95; for a Sig 245, cus I couldn't find spare magazines.....my thought at the time was when they went to the longer (7rd) frame 6round mags would always be in short supply/expensive and hard to come by!!!!!
.............one of the mistakes that still haunts me.
I like my Sig but that Smith was a great gun!!!!

I sold the 4516 I bought new for the same reason. It is just too heavy for my arms now. I do have a 4506 with 50 rounds through it, and two alloy small frame .45 pistols. The 4506 is too heavy now too, but it was my carry pistol in uniform and I am keeping it.

I have never seen on of these but I am on the hunt for one now. What a sweet looking pistol. How much does it weigh?

4513TSW
I just walked thru the door & sat down to check email after taking off my holster & setting my 4513 TSW carry gun on my desk.
I have both this one & the one with the longer grip for an extra round or 2, which is the one I usually carry, plus the 4516.
I have been a 1911 guy for 57 yrs getting my first at 13 & carried one or a variant, & still do, on occasion but wanted a double, single action that was accurate & "reliable".
I picked up 3 of the 13s & a couple 16s, plus the 4013TSW(good gun but not a 45) & did a lot of testing to ensure reliability.
Long story short. I ran 300 rounds of mixed ammo & wts, reloads, military, lead, RN, SWC, TCs, etc without a FTF. These were run thru as fast as I could shoot, 10 mags at a time.
I then took 300 rds of 5 different CCW 230s, Hornady, Remington, MagTech, WW, Black Talon. I shot them for
reliability & accuracy. No FTF, all were accurate.
Any would be excellent carry ammo.
I like mine & am quite confident it will do perfectly in any scenario.

KS I have the CS 45 also. Bought it Brand New with the carrying case & 2 Mags. Like you, have been carrying it for over 20 yrs. One of the most dependable & accurate pistols I have ever owned. Not to get off the thread here. Just to acknowledge our experience with the CS 45
