If it's not 18 3/4" like S&W .38s have been for the past century or so, I don't know what it is.
Jerry Keefer thinks it ought to be faster.

Jerry Kiefer's not the only one. The number of S&W K 38s with Colt barrels on them is an indication of the number of competitive shooters who prefered the faster twist rate. I think Colt's rate waw one turn in 14 inches.

Douglas Barrels recommends 10 twist for hollow base wadcutters.

It is, according to the RIFLEMAN test-3/62.

Jean;
Welcome to the forum.
Questions;
How and where did your M52-1 extractor break(pic's would help the masses) ?
You had 25 M52-1 extractors made ?
The M52 runs just fine; how does your new extractors make it run "better than ever" ?
Could you send me one of your new made extractors so I can compare it to one of my "new old stock" extractors ?
Just curious;
Clarence
