Default Springco dual recoil springs?

Anyone using these in their 3rd gen compacts? What model? How much have you shot it with these replacement springs in it? Any issues? Thanks for any feedback! Regards 18DAI

They're good to go in my book.

I was brought in during the development to provide internal dimensions on several guns spec'd with the nested spring sets.
Sprinco sent me several sets for T&E pre-release and I ran them in my Shorty45 and 4516-1. Fired perhaps 100rds in each with no issues whatsoever.

I have three sets of the Sprinco and four of the OEM springs in my stash however I'm not currently running nested springs in any of my compacts with one exception. The 4516-2 still uses the nested spring but doesn't see a lot of mileage that way since it's set up as a CCO.

I wouldn't hesitate to use them in any gun calling for the nested spring set 10866 & 10867, some 14 or so regular production models as I recall.

Cheers
Bill

They work fine in my 457. No issues at all.

I have 2 of the springco and 3 new nested springs...but still use the Glock flatwire spring that I put in about 2 years ago

I haven't tried them so I can't comment there.

In my email communications with Alan a year ago he lamented no one ever told him exactly ALL the models that used the dual/nested springs. I replied back & told him all the ones I found searching the S&W parts catalog. I see he hasn't updated his webpage yet.

So here they are, again:

4013TSW
4053TSW
4056TSW
4013 (R4)
4014 (R4)
4040
4053 (R4)
4054 (R4)
4516 (all except -1)
4513TSW
4553TSW
457
457D

I run 'em in my 457 and 4513TSW with no issues. I was impressed with Alan and Springco throughout the process of getting the springs produced, and I haven't seen a single negative review since a bunch of us here started using them a couple of years ago. BMCM was a huge help in getting the project moved along, and with his background in all things semi-auto, his endorsement means a lot.
