I have a 469 aluminum frame that I purchased new well over 30 years ago. Did S&W ever produce a 10 round magazine for this gun?

If you mean during the production run of this 2nd Gen pistol... 1983 to late-1988 or early 1989... the answer is no. There was no need for such a magazine until years later when the Federal AWB hit us in 1994. During the ban (1994-2004), S&W produced 10-round stainless steel magazines for us non-LEO peons with 69-series and 6900-series pistols. 6900-series pistol production ended in 1999, so it never made it to the end of the Federal AWB. It is unknown whether or not S&W went back to producing 12-round 69/6900 magazines after the Federal AWB ended for folks in the free states... but if they did, there is no way I know of to tell the difference.

To the best of my knowledge, there were no black S&W OEM 69/6900-series magazines offered in 10-rounds, even during the ban, although at least one or two aftermarket manufacturers made them. Hopefully, someone will correct me if that was the case.

Since I know the concern(s) of the OP but he didn't ask the question in the right manner. Will 69XX 10rd compliant mags properly function in a 469 and if they will,would they be 'flush' and not stick out past where a proper 469 mag would ? I don't have a 469 pistol to try the 69XX 10rd mags in.

They are 100% interchangeable.
