Price Check 5943 TSW
Looking for a price check on a I am being told NIB 5943 TSW. The person is a recruit from a bigger Dept. Got injured in the academy and was on the list again. She has to buy a Block now. She only has 2 -15 round mags they are stamped LEO Use only you know from the original crime bill. But one has a black baseplate the other has a red/orange plate. the followers are spotless and she wants to get rid of it. I will try to have her send me pics. She has the box manual lock and the 2 spent cases in a tan envelope. the night sights are green but dim. Any help please thanks in advance.

Forum is still awfully buggy so take that into account.
Don't see many Model 5943TSW pistols up here in New England. I see that only one has appeared lately on that big firearms auction website. It sold for $400 plus $40 shipping via Buy-It-Now very fast so no telling what it might have been bid up to.
While I am a big fan of the Model 5943 (I own two), I'm not so much a fan of the 5943TSW with its black mustache rail, billboard advertising and it's "Wimpy silhouette-shaped" safety/decocker blank. Those features visually don't appeal to me so I wouldn't buy one myself... YMMV... but I'd say a fair price in decent shape with two magazines and box is around $425-475, give or take... maybe $500 out-the-door tops if it was really clean and I truly wanted one.

That is a very desirable DOA 3rd generation pistol. Not a whole lot of the 5943 versions were produced, even less in the TSW configuration. Having the box and goodies, is even better. Price I think will depend on your location, I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a close estimate. Good luck.

There was 1 at a local shop (upstate NY) a few years ago, ANIB with 2 mags. I believe it went for $500. DAO sometimes brings a bit more since its not common. This version of DAO does not have 2nd strike capability if that is important to you.

I gave $400 for a nice one but not like new. It had those 10 round magazines from the ban era it was made in.

Once the dialog box opens for you type, look below that for additional Options, under that a "manage Attachments" button that opens a window that lets you upload one from your device.

A LGS near me has a 5946 with one 15 round and one 10 round magazine for $349.00. I don't know the condition, but based on that, I would say that your 5943TSW is worth somewhere between $450.00-475.00.
For whatever reason the DAO versions seem to command less price than an equivalent TDA version. That might well be regional as well.
Note that if I wanted a double stack DAO, I'd already own that 5946.

If I were going to carry it for SD, that would be true. As a range, home, whatever, gun, the 5946 is likely a better choice. My 5906 is a beast, but it's an incredibly reliable and accurate beast. I have carried it on occasion, but for my current needs an alloy framed single stack is a better option.
