Default SW22 Victory: Barrel lug came loose

Last night my barrel lug came loose as I was disassembling the gun (the one with 3 holes that is supposed to be attached permanently). This was after my second range session.
I put some blue Loctite and reassembled the gun. I tightened the take down screw, which will also tighten the barrel lug. Now, everything seems fine to me.

I read that people are usually recommending to call customer service. I was just wondering if this is a common problem and if I took the correct approach to fix it with blue Loctite.

On a side note, I’m planning to get some purple Loctite to use on the take down screw and the picatinny rail.

You really shouldn't have to glue your gun together....

Glue is not the answer, O Ring the Barrel Screw on the bottom, place a No.61 O -ring on it as well as the original screw. That will solve your barrel problems. If you intend to leave your brackets on for a optic style of sight then maybe glue them only at that time. Otherwise use the small white tape we use to lock up your threads. I find it much better and longer lasting.

You need to contact customer service and register a complaint. Get your issue on record now and then decide what to do.

IMHO

I put blue Loctite on the barrel lug (the lug with 3 holes that should to never come off).
As for the takedown screw, I’m actually not even sure if it does come loose. That screw had some type of Loctite from factory.
Now the rail is annoying. It does come loose after 100 rounds. But on firearms it’s common practice to use blue or purple Loctite to secure rails/mounts and rings. Some rails are even shipped with Loctite.
BTW I love the gun and the issues I’m mentioning are pretty minor.
Out of curiosity, why should I contact CS if some Loctite ,blue for barrel lug (not takedown screw) and purple for rail, could permanently fix my problems? It’s not gluing my gun, Loctite is made for this kind of application and is commonly used.

From what I read he needs something that will hold it in place securely but may have to come off on occasion as well. The white locking tape will work exactly that way. Stay tight yet come off when he needs it to.

I put blue locktite on the barrel lug and purple on the picatinny rail and the gun has been flawless.

I never had any issues with the takedown screw coming loose. My gun came with the newer version where they put some kind of dry compound on the takedown screw.
