SW22: Awesome gun, but upgrades SUCK!
My gun is functioning without any problem. The factory trigger breaks at 3.5lbs with a small and predictable creep.
I decided to upgrade the extractor with the Volquartsen Exact Edge and the trigger with the TandemKross.
Volquartsen extractor: a bunch of FTF. Factory extractor was flawless. Switched back to factory extractor and I’m returning this one
TandemKross trigger: Pretty hard to install. Once installed, the hammer would stay in cocked position and wouldn’t fire! Called CS today at 2pm and I’m still waiting for call back from a technician. I read somewhere that there are some variations in the gun frames and sometimes some filling might be required. Reinstalled the factory trigger, everything works fine and the TandemKross is going back too.
Awesome gun from the factory…. don't fix what ain't broken

I enjoy my guns in factory condition, it has been said that I do not even change grips. All true!

Completely Agree with the extractor. It barley fit in and then it wouldn't chamber a round. The hook just wouldn't open enough to go over the rim of the bullet. The TK trigger took a little convincing but I got it to work. I have had good luck with the trigger.

I'm happy with my TK trigger (installation was a bit tricky), and have aftermarket thumb rest grips. I would not consider a VQ extractor when: a) the original works fine b) VQ extractors did NOT work in my 10/22. I do have the VQ carbon fiber barrel though.

Makes me happy I stayed with the factory version. Sorry to hear about the upgrades. I would be very unhappy with those results.

I have installed both the Tandemkross trigger and the Volquartsen Exact Edge extractor. Both have functioned flawlessly. Guess I got lucky?

There are "upgrades", and there are "changes". They are not the same thing.

Why does anyone make these changes or upgrades?
A $400 gun + all these changes, buy a High Standard instead.
Same with 10/22's. I have a Victory and a 10/22, I intend to leave them both as is.

Dollar for dollar, the TK trigger is the best money I've ever spent on a handgun.

No upgrades, but I am happy with the performance of my Victory .22, other than placing an o ring under the barrel screw. It has a good trigger and the gun is accurate in my old hands.

I would agree with you when it works as intended. For you it did. From all the reading I did, it seems that it does work for most people. That's exactly why I got it.
For me it didn't work. I don't think my situation is representative as it seems to work for most. I though I would share my experience as data point for any future potential buyer.
Installing the trigger is a pain tough! I lost that little spring and the small steel ball a few times before I decide to do the install in a large ziplock bag. I had to try it SO many times. And when the hammer would not fire and I had to disassemble it.....What a nightmare. I know some can do it in 20mn....For me it took 2 hours the first time. I was frustrated and cursing a lot....And the second time I lost that little spring and steel ball......Not pretty to see!
