I would like to add a red dot sight like the Romeo 1 or the C-More mini red dot to my 4006. There are mounting sets that utilize the dovetail but the 4006 adjustable rear sight is much longer than a normal one. Any suggestions? Donald R

There was a frame mount, back in the 90s that came up both sides of the frame and allowed the suspension of optics above the slide.

I recall seeing one mounted on a 4506. But who made it.......... Or where you would find one now.......... Good luck! Regards 18DAI

I recall seeing a red dot mount for a model 945 in the rear sight dove tail cut. Not sure the cut is the same for a 4006, if not, it may be able to be machined to fit.

I have bought a b square mount that works on my square trigger guard smiths. I have it on my 3906 as we speak. I also picked up an aimtech grip mount for a 59xx, 40xx and maybe a few others.
