S&W 6906
Hello, New guy to the forums. I wanted to know if anyone could date a 6906 I was looking at? It's serial, THB49xx.
Also is there any way to tell what agency this Smith came from by just the numbers, Or do I need to call Smith CS and ask them? Thank's

Welcome to the forum, Red!
A call to S&W is the only way to get a definitive answer.

Why do you think it went to an agency? Does it have Agency markings/stamp?
Lots of them sold in the civilian market........

Might have been his personal off duty...... or just a 'cop" with good taste!!!!!
Generally officers don't sell Dept. "issued" guns.... in some cases they (use to) have the opportunity to buy their own issued guns when they changed models or retired...... but that was cus they wanted to keep them.

Almost the perfect concealed carry gun............... right behind the 39xx series guns............IMHO they conceals just as well as a 39xx single stack....... when or if.... you feel the need for more than 8+1...+8
Look for some "+2 adapters" to use with factory 15 (59xx) round mags.... they make great spare carry magazines..... giving you 28 rounds in 2 mags.

I have 2 6906s and a 6946 and they all show a little rough spot here and there but they don't bother me. Great guns and I have owned most of the M&P tupperware models. I still prefer the 3rd gens.
