M645,745,945 Which One?
First, thanks to the Members that sold me these S&W's. Finally got my M945, and went to the range. Started with the M645. a fine shooting piece for what it is. The M745 was a step above, a fine shooting pice with some history behind it. Now the M945-1 is in a world of it's own. Everything about it screams quality and fine workmanship. You would have to be blind to miss with this gun. Now I know there is a M845, and I would love to have one to fill out my collection of these guns, but I think these are few and far between. Now, don't get me started on the M52, which I had with me, but she's a special case. And thanks to Chris, who got me started on these semi's, by selling me a M639. But then again, if he wouldn't have done it, I'd have a lot more money in the bank.

Seriously, you -have- money in the bank, with these however, there is no paying tax on earned interest or capital gains and you can look at them, handle them AND also shoot them while the investment continues to hold or even gain value.
I don't believe that is the case with all guns but you're talking about some special hardware and I have watched this market closely for a number of years now.
No, you can't get rich by buying and shooting these pistols but oh yes, it's a sound and extremely stable investment money-wise that can also bring a whole lot of pleasure right now.
IMO, no joke, far better than a few bucks in a low or no interest bank account.

I got my 945 no dash a few months ago to shoot. I specifically wanted the no dash without the fps so it took a while longer. IMO it's as good or better than a custom 1911 at twice what I paid plus it came in the aluminum pc case. My 945 is one my kids will have to sell because I won't.

Comparisons to the 1911 are expected as they look similar but it's important to note in the discussion that it's superficial, these 945's are amazing and they look great (and 1911's are also) but the two are really different animals even when they appear somewhat similar at a glance.

Very nice collection so far!! Keep looking for the 845 you will not be disappointed. I love my three digit S&W .45s! This thread needs a picture. Top left 645 fixed sight, Top right 645 adjustable sight, Center 745, Bottom left 845, Bottom right 945-1.

They are 1911 ish. Linkless barrel / briley bushing/rotating fps but along with the appearance the trigger system is very similar there is a grip safety & thumb safety but different grip angle. When I got mine one of the forum members posted that he was shooting a les Baer in competition & when he got his 945 when they first came out he sold the Baer.
