Default Model 639

New acquisition. Has some scratches, particularly at windage adjustment screw on rear sight, and some dings on the grips. But shoots great and really like the feel of a solid pistol and the single stack magazine. No idea of age or value and probably paid too much, but I like it.

Whatever you paid was worth it to you so it's all good. They are still printing money but not 639's...enjoy!

Cant quite make out your serial prefix if it is between A745000-A865000 and TAA0001-TAL9999 there is a safety check to make sure it isnt defective, listed here Firearm Recalls and Safety Warnings- FirearmsID.com

Looks like your prefix is TAM and if so you should be fine but do the safety check anyways

It shoots great mod57. It's hefty, so recoil is negligible and even my 10 year old grand daughter enjoys shooting it. And it's comfortable for her to hold given the narrow grip.

Did the recall test Engine49guy and all is fine. Its number is TAU57xx. Thanks for the headsup on recall. One day will have to find out date of manufacture for it.
