Default need model 539 help and model 39

hello all, i have a model 539 i need help with a value

it has a polished steel frame and polished blue slide
i has a rear adjustable sight

the model 39-SS has a steel frame too, serial number is 0214
4 inch barrel with minor rusting on one side of the slide, i think, pretty sure it can be restored

any help on value would be great

they are also up for sale

It seems to me that the aftermarket BII frame on the 39 would limit it's value quite substantially unless the correct factory frame was also included.

That's an interesting front sight on the 539.

I wonder if the 539 shot high and someone decided to fix it? I've seen more than a few that did. I always assumed it was a barrel fitting problem but never did hear anyone say for sure.

I have one sitting in a box, nearly new condition, unmodified. I've never fired it, but I am sure someone fired it before it came to me. Still, very nice. I suppose it's worth somewhere around $500-$600, to the right buyer. I'd guess the 539 shown is worth considerably less than $600, depending on the quality of the front sight work.

I agree the 39 with the non-OEM frame is basically worth a couple hundred for the usable parts, maybe a bit more. All this JMHO.
