Default 39-2 serialnr?

Hi, i found that a 39-2 is what i shoot best in the pricerange im into right now in 9mm guns. It fits Perfect in my hand, has a windage and elevation ( the optional) sight. It tested the glock, cz75 and a few 1911 clones.
Well, i ended up With it since there are more than just specs and Precision, maybe that x-factor? theres something about that gun that i really like!

But i cant figure out when its made, cant find info online! Serial nr is: a125xxx
I also got a 686- revolver: cdk6xxx, if its on the same page in the book, or else ill post it in revolver forum!

Welcome to the Forum!!

Your 39-2 was made in late 1970 or early 1971 according to the serial number you provided. I too really like the feel of 39-2's and the classic lines it has. (Good choice)

Thanks for quick reply. Thats early for -2 gun? My 39-2 is almost mint condition. I dont know how it ended up here in norht europe. Its not a service gun, no wear on blue parts what so ever. It shoots better than i do. Im not sure weather i should reinstall the original sight or keep the sw elevation sight! Anyway, a lovely gun that fits all my needs better than many other guns!

The 39-2 is hard to beat overall. Not a great DA trigger but everything else is excellent. If you haven't noticed how quick the re-set is you should pay attention to that...none better.

Lots to love about a 39-2 and congratulations on a fine lifetime firearm.
