Default Question re: 1911PD

I recently acquired a 1911PD made in March of 2007. I am trying to do a detail strip on the slide, and I cannot figure out how to remove the firing pin safety plunger (this is a series 80 pistol). I found a Youtube video showing how to do this with a series 80 pistol with an internal extractor, but this pistol has an external extractor.

BTW, I am doing a detail strip on the slide because I have had 4 misfires in the first 200 rounds and a thorough cleaning is my first step in resolving the problem. All four rounds fired on the second try.
