My dad got this gun a few years back and he's looking to sell it but the problem is we don't know what it's value is. He's looking to upgrade his concealed carry if he can sell it. We can't find hardly anything about it and our local gun shop said they'd never seen one before so idk anything about it. Any info on this gun would be appreciated.

I guess it's fluting on the barrel (?)
Bar on the top of the barrel and slide I'm guessing that's for mounting an optic

Have you checked Gunbroker or Catalog of S&W 4th edition?

I've looked on gun broker and didn't find it. The catalog I haven't looked in to though I know this gun was discontinued in 2012

I found one dealer trying to get $399.. "trying"

I only paid around $289.00 here in Canada myself for the one I had. They are a decent shooting gun for the price but don't fire real hot ammo thru it as you may crack the slide by doing that. Great starter gun for a new shooter. I would suggest a retail price of around $199.99- $239.00 for it which is a fair price.

Lack of parts and service at S&W CS will hurt the value to an everyday shooter. One of my range friends came up with a cracked frame ( no specific idea how/why, but it was broken). CS could not get it repaired, and they offered him a .22 Compact, which he took, as there were no options. He is not a happy puppy.

So consider that - regardless of the S&W reputation for repairs, they can't replace with what they don't have. I would knock 50% off whatever I thought it was ready to offer, just knowing that it can't be fixed (in all cases).
