I can't see your photos gdodgen. I'm sure they're great, but you need to ditch PhotoRansom and switch over to PostImage.org for your image hosting. It's free and the learning curve is not bad at all. Best of all, we'll all be able to see your nice photos!

Thanks D Brown for the heads up. I hadn't posted pics in a while. Hopefully this worked!

Buying a 41 is only about 40% of the fun. The other 60% is shooting it. Go to the range!
BTW: Pictures are working now.

I sold my model 41 in favor of a new Volquartsen Custom.
Still new to me, but so far I like it a lot.
The comp threads on, but is machined so well, even up close you
can hardly see where it meets the barrel.
I have mounted a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot since the pic and changed the grips.

I am sure you will like yours, I have an early 70's one and it is a treat to shoot, if the shots don't land in the x-ring its because I did not point the gun in the right direction (which happens too often).

I have a 1958 year M41 and its still a joy to shoot every single week. So is my M46. They never seem to ever give up or hardly ever need repairs at all.

The M41 was my very first Handgun - purchased new in 1979. I fought with myself for weeks over getting the M41 or the High Standard Trophy or Victor. I WISH there was a .22 Target Pistol that took the best of both and made a "perfect design". I love the HS Pistols but the two things that completely turned me off was that the HS has the Mag Release on the bottom of the grip and they have the slide release on the right side of the gun (which is great for lefties - but I am not). Other than those two items I think the HS's are TOP NITCH!
The M41 is a superbly built, accurate and well designed gun. I own one to this day! I do wish that they were just a bit lighter in overall weight and even though the 2 pound trigger is very light and crisp, the HS just feels better to me. If I could take the two pistols and combine all their individual assets it would be the perfect Target / Competition gun to me. I never did get a HS and have learned to shoot my M41 quite well throughout the 10's of thousands of rounds put through it. Always a joy!
My personal M41 runs and shoots great with CCI standard velocity ammo and a 7 pound recoil Spring but some do complain of finicky operation with certain brands. Most do find the CCI to be one of the best and trouble free, just so you are aware. YMMV

Congratulations on your recent purchase of your Model 41! They are just such a pleasure to own and shoot. However, I do prefer to shoot my 5 1/2 inch heavy bbl stainless Ruger MKII that has had an action job. I really like the grip angle of the Ruger but not everyone does.

When i use 7 pound i get 1-2 shoots per 100 ejecting problem but when i use 6 pound 100 % for cci.
If o use topshot i need to have the 7 pound spring.
