Default New SW 22 Sites

Picked up my new Victory today and took to the range. Ran about 100 rounds of various 22LR ammo thru it with no issues. Only problem is getting the sites adjusted. It has been quite some time since I had to adjust sites on a new pistol so I need a little help please. I am shooting high and to the right. Which way do I adjust windage and elevation?

I also shot my Hi Power and had no issues getting on target. Also a friend tried the Victory and had the same issues.

All help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Move your rear "sight" the direction you want your point of impact to move. In your case, you want to move the rear "sight" down, and to the left.

Thanks for the info. Will also check out You Tube. I want to get it sighted in and then hopefully add a red dot.

Sometimes high to the right can be caused by the shooter compensating for the recoil at the fire moment. Some ammo can hide this i.e higher vel than than other ammo with lower vel. I see that time from time when shooters change from like top shot to cci.
One way to secure this is to make sure that your arm is fully stretched and locked.
Then it is harder to pre-compensate the recoil. Then the recoil will transplant in z direvtion into the arm

Thanks for the comments and ideas. I made up a small cloth bag of sand that I plan to use to steady my grip to see it is me or the sites. Hope to do today???

Went to the range this afternoon to sight in the Victory. Followed the directions to lower and move the hits to the left. I did it one click at a time. After 3 clicks no movement. Then on the 4th click was not even on the paper at 25 yards. Tried to get back by reversing the sights but could not get it back. had to quit at the club had a 3 gun match scheduled. Will try again Monday.

FYI. Wife and I easch shot about 50 rounds. We used a sand bag to steady the barrel of the Victory but still could not get it sorted. Bummer!!!

Never had a pistol that was that far off when brand new.

Do an occasional check of the upper to frame fit to make sure the take down screw hasn't loosened. It shouldn't happen with a recent model, but it's easy to check.

Good tip. Cleaned today and made sure the screw is tight. Will get to the range tomorrow evening barring rain.

Got to the range today. I think I have it sighted in good now. i was only moving 1-2 clicks at a time last time. Today i went 360 deg and then clicked the other way and things are looking a lot better. A friend also shot and he got similar results. Will try again later this week as it was getting too dark to shot.
