I just got this one off lay-away last week. It doesn't appear to be a common 3rd gen variant (double-action-only version of the 457). I'm not much of a 45ACP fan but I couldn't pass this one up at the price. I actually figured I'd sell this one but after function testing it I think it will stick around for a while. It's a nice shooter and handles the .45 recoil well.
It will go well with the CS9D I got earlier this year and my other 3rd gen Smiths.
