I picked up 2 of these awhile back. One is 98% and the other is ANIB all papers and the bill of sale, so it is a collector piece. I know they are a low production gun, and I got them thinking of them as potential trade items.

Need to tap the collective knowledge of how I should realistically value them. SCSW states, " values are a guess. Probably a very scarce gun, few sales reported."

I also know that low production doesn't always equate to high value with the new model of the week era of S&W.

I always hesitate in estimating values as it involves too many factors. Usually comes down to who really wants it, how much money do they have & what is it worth to the seller.

I've run across a used one at the gun show, several times, in pretty good condition but with no box & one mag, that the seller hasn't sold yet. $600 IIRC. He's never come down to a price that matched my idea of what it meant to me. Maybe the next time I see it my idea may be different. Dunno.

To a collector & a DAO 5" 45ACP lover, it's probably worth more. Just depends. (I'm 3 out of 4 of those.)
